Wouldn't it be awesome to be a part of one of the only student-run record labels in the country? 80 One Records was created in the fall of 2003 as a branch of the JMU University Program Board. The label was developed by two students, Sean Branigan and Matt Stuart, as well as a group of dedicated JMU student volunteers who continue to drive the label's success. Past artists include: Electric Baby, Nathaniel Baker, Eddie Cain Irvin, Doug Roberts, YouMe&theShaker, and Josh Vana.
Currently, artists YouMe&theShaker and Josh Vana are signed to the label, and 80 One Records is accepting demos! Please turn yours in, along with the artist submission form, to the University Program Board office located in Taylor Hall room 234. Explore the fantastic opportunities that 80 One Records can offer YOU!
- Have your material professionally recorded and distributed on both local and national levels for free.
- Open for major musical acts brought to the JMU campus by the JMU University Program Board.
- Have a committee dedicated to YOUR marketing, booking, promotion, and record distribution needs.
- Gain local and potentially national recognition as an acclaimed music artist.
- Expand your knowledge and experience in the music industry so that you may succeed in the business!
